To God my father and friend
you rescued me from trials and hell
A portion of gifts and talents you lend
Enabling me to write and tell
When my moment of despair came
you made me brand new in time, with
your awesome strength and power to save
I resurrected mightily from the grave
What great love enraptured me
you healed my eyes and made me see.
Grace and mercy ended my night of pain
Now I live with a smile no longer in vain
You O God are like a tower giving light
your light you shine on the poor and weak
Thus re-powered me to stand and fight
my thoughts and mind I speak tonight
To God my father and friend, sincerely
the strength you gave non else could send.
Now im a soldier in your mighty army
from bondage and misery clearly you freed me.
