Life is Hard (No escaping)

When I was a baby
my momma use to tell me
work hard in school son, cause
life's not going to be easy.
I agree mommy believe me!
See, I never disobeyed
what my momma said
but neva really understood
what she meant instead, cause

I never took mommy seriously
Until I got a bit older
and started to see clearly
the world more differently
from how I saw it
as a baby- its scary,crazy!

What could a child have known?
Before I had a clue
Before I knew what I had to do
I tried hard in school
 obeyed all the rules
but that didnt change a thing
cause there is no escaping
Life is hard,

It will leave you mentally,
emotionally and physically
scard honestly,its hard.
They're not enough words
to express this mess

But

I guess mommy was saying
Its not your  fault
why life is hard so
She tried to shelter me
from reality
but thats okay- I understand
she loved me anyway.
