The Suns Day

Which day is the suns day
is it Monday or Tuesday
which day is the suns day
is it today or perhaps everyday
does the sun say, today I stay
and tomorrow I go away; do you know?
Is the suns day Sunday?
or maybe Saturday
now everybody has a day
what about the suns day!
Does the sun pray
what does the sun do on its day
does it share, is the sun always fair
does it shout, I am wrong and you
are right, does the sun fight
what does the sun do at night.
I wonder,
What if the sun would strike
for doing a job that nobody like
he gets weary of minimum wage
of people ripping him of like a page.
What if he took off from the scene
bursting forth like a lion raw and mean
what if the sun died
would you rejoice or would you hide.
Think about it, the day of the sun
what a terrible day it would be
a day of pain and everlasting misery
for without the sun where would we be
but a planet desolate, broken and lonely


Imagine
I look to the sky above
from whence cometh my help
that shines brightly to warm me
in cold nights and stormy days
a gift of nature worthy of eternal praise.
Like the wind, his evidence
all around, a life giver
dancing through my skin
with great  energy to bring
A sweet day for picnic in fall-sing sing.
He never fails, he never fails yet
is taken for granted pierced with nails
always on time but a little late, for
before you ask he opens the gate.
Like food you crave to satisfy a greed
he does not judge he does not need
It does not grudge it does not condemn
all it demands you use the time it
gives wisely, before it must go away
to share its gift and prepare for another day
far away on distant shores.
He's always there, he never fails
through countless ages he still prevails
in all points-we must agree
when it comes to the sun there is unity
