EARLY MORNING POEM

Let me write a poem for the heck of it
woke up this morning giving thanks for it
got out of bed then my prayers I said
went into the kitchen to swallow a ounce
looked outside saw my doggy dogg
heard the birds chirping chirpy chirp
feeling a bit melancholy ask anybody
so ran to facebook to check my status
... got alot to give thanks for-lord knows
so I write it in verse to let it show.

Been up two hours now about to say chow
if God been good dont forget to say wow
if you're up and well then you must tell
so someone else can give God thanks,
write it on facebook so people can look
dont keep your blessing in a little book
giving thanks everyday is the only way
to keep those tired feet on the narrow way
