I Am The Child

I AM THE CHILD

I am natures still not seen
I move invisible like the wind
A reason speaks in everything
every pain - its own medicine
every way walks its own road
many gifts shares its own  load
To be friendless is the way I am
As a child I remember this way.

I am the child, I am  the child
I am not old, I am not wild
I am a boy,   I am a  boy
I am gentle,  I am coy.
My hearts a child, a child
walks with me all the while
I am the eldest son, of sons
I wear a childs face in one.

Cause I am the child, the child
I am not old, I am not wild.
This my letter to the cold old world
that never wrote to me not once.
Judge me tenderly o world
cause I am the child, the child
I am not old, I am not wild
I am your child just like Emily.
